During 2015, the PSA carried out audits of how the onshore facilities and Gassco are complying with the statutory requirements in respect of reducing the likelihood of a major accident.

From 22 to 27 January 2016, the PSA carried out an audit of Engie E&P Norge AS (Engie)'s administration and management of materials handling, the safe use of lifting equipment and the maintenance thereof (logistics) at Gjøa.

From 19 to 21 January 2016, the PSA carried out an audit of Saipem SpA Norwegian Branch (Saipem) and the company's follow-up of maintenance and barriers on Scarabeo 8.

On 28 and 29 January 2016, the PSA carried out an audit of Statoil Petroleum AS (Statoil)'s management of emergency preparedness at Åsgard B.

From 25 to 28 January 2016, the PSA carried out an audit of Statoil Petroleum AS (Statoil)'s efforts to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for electrical installations.

On 20 and 21 January 2016, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway carried out an audit of Statoil Mongstad covering surface maintenance and corrosion under insulation (CUI).
