Bilateral cooperation
Through bilateral cooperation with other continental shelf authorities in northern Europe, we help to respond at a technical level to internationalisation in the petroleum sector. That includes the exchange of knowledge and experience.
Bilateral cooperation agreements have been established in relation to fields and pipelines which straddle continental shelf boundaries. These agreements regulate cooperation on supervising operating companies, fields and facilities, as well as on exchanging safety information.
Bilateral cooperation agreements have also been established in specific technical areas, such as the working environment.
