AI is increasingly used in the petroleum industry. A survey by the Norwegian Ocean Industry Authority (Havtil) shows that operating companies have varying levels of maturity in managing AI, particularly regarding system oversight, risk management, supplier follow-up and assessments of potential safety impacts.
