The audit was conducted from 2 to 6 March 2026.

Background

Havtil has designated project follow-up as one of its priority focus areas for the period 2026–2028. Inspections of several electrification projects are planned for 2026, of which this is the first.

Objective

The objective of the audit was to monitor that the the electrification projects are being carried out in compliance with the HSE regulations and that, in its project management and follow-up, Equinor is reducing risk and preventing accidents during start-up and operation.

Result

We identified three non-conformities during the audit. These concerned:

  • Roles, responsibilities and employee participation in the “Troll West Electrification” and “Oseberg Power from Shore” projects
  • Operating documents

Furthermore, we identified three improvement points. These were concerning:

  • Insufficient knowledge and use of PRD’s central training unit
  • Electrotechnical system analyses
  • Establishment of competency requirements

What happens now?

We have asked Equinor to report to us by 15 May 2026 on how the non-conformities will be addressed, and for their assessment of the improvement points observed.
