The audit was conducted from 16 to 19 November 2020. This was part two of an audit, of which the first part audited the surface programme for onshore facilities within Equinor, while the second was a separate audit of Mongstad.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to verify that Equinor has coherent approaches to the follow-up of corrosion under insulation (CUI) and to the performance of necessary CUI maintenance at all the onshore facilities for which it is the technical service provider.
Result
The audit identified three non-conformities. These comprised:
- Risk management of surface condition
- Handling of non-conformities
- Follow-up of suppliers
We also identified two areas with potential for improvement. These related to:
- Measurement parameters and indicators
- Goals and strategies
What happens next?
We have asked Equinor to report on how the non-conformities will be addressed. We have also asked the company for its assessment of the observations that indicate potential for improvement. The deadline is set at 15 February 2021.
