The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has issued an order to Esso Norge AS (Esso) following an audit of the company’s follow-up of materials handling and management of the working environment at the Slagentangen refinery.

We have carried out an audit of ConocoPhillips focused on electrical facilities and instrumentation on the Ekofisk 2/4 B and Ekofisk 2/4 K installations.

From 20 to 23 November 2018, we carried out an audit of materials handling, and safe use and maintenance of lifting equipment at Visund.

We have carried out an audit of Point Resources (now Vår Energi) focused on the company’s operation of electrical and associated facilities at Ringhorne.

On 3 and 4 December 2018, we carried out an audit of Equinor’s assurance of process safety in the design of Johan Castberg.

From 28 to 30 November 2018, we carried out an audit of Point Resources and their assurance of the safety of structures and marine systems at Balder.

From 12 to 15 November 2018, we carried out an audit of KCAD’s management of emergency preparedness and the working environment at Askepott.

From 15 to 22 November 2018, we carried out an audit of Equinor and its follow-up of corrosion under insulation (CUI) on the Sleipner field.

From 15 to 25 October 2018, we carried out an audit of Neptune Energy Norge AS (Neptune) and its management of working environment risk and arrangements for employee participation at Gjøa.

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) and the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority have jointly audited Maersk Drilling's routines for handling notifications of censurable conditions (whistleblowing) at work.
