The audit was conducted between 9 and 13 March 2026.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to verify processes and systems that contribute to ensuring the comprehensive management of emergency preparedness, and to verify that the helideck complies with regulatory requirements in order to help ensure safe helicopter operations and personnel transport.
Result
The audit identified five non-conformities in the following areas:
- Obstacles in 210° obstacle-free approach and take-off sector
- Helideck data
- Friction arrangements on the helideck
- Fire extinguishing system on the helideck
- Missing anemometer
We also observed three factors we have chosen to categorise as improvement points. These concerned:
- Maintenance programme to ensure the functioning of fire monitors and safety nets on the helideck
- Handling of hazard and accident situations
- Signage for access to the helideck
What happens now?
We have asked Equinor to report to us by 10 June 2026 on how the non-conformities will be addressed and for their assessment of the improvement points observed.
