Equinor – audit of follow-up of performance standard PS17B

The audit was conducted from 9 to 11 June 2026.

Objective

The objective of the audit was to examine how Equinor ensured compliance with the performance standard for drilling facilities (PS17B) through the identification of safety-critical equipment, the systematic identification of deficiencies, follow-up and maintenance, as well as verification activities.

Result

The audit identified two non-conformities:

• Inadequate decision support and criteria regarding changes to the follow-up of performance standard PS17B.
• Inadequate management of changes that impact health, safety and environment.

What happens now?

Havtil has asked Equinor to report by 31 October 2026 on how the non-conformities will be addressed.
