The audit was conducted on 29 and 30 April 2020.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to assess how Vår Energi is ensuring compliance with the authorities’ requirements relating to the management of technical barriers and maintenance in the operation of the Goliat FPSO within the domains of technical safety, process safety and maintenance management.
Follow-up of previous audits
During the audit, we also looked at how the operator has addressed non-conformities that we highlighted in previous audits. We found that the following non-conformity had not been addressed in line with the company’s feedback to us:
- Non-conformity concerning “Fire water supply” from chapter 5.1 of the report following the audit of 1 July 2015.
Result
No new non-conformities were identified during this audit, but we observed one matter that we have categorised as an improvement point. This related to the response time for PSD functions.
What happens now?
We have asked Vår Energi for a binding, time-delimited plan for addressing the non-conformity from the previous audit. We have also asked for their assessment of the improvement point observed. The reply deadline is set at 14 September 2020.
