The audit took place on 4-5 June 2018.

Objective

The objective of the audit was to verify that the conditions on the Martin Linge PU comply with applicable requirements for materials handling, emergency preparedness and the working environment. We also wanted to verify that the organisation was adequately prepared and ready for completion, start-up and operation of the facilities within the domains of materials handling, emergency preparedness and the working environment.

Result

Eight non-conformities were identified in connection with:

  • Procedures for crane and lifting operations
  • Training and instruction of personnel assigned to crane and lifting operations
  • Arrangement of lifting operations
  • Protective structures for lifting operations around several cargo decks
  • Arrangements for battery handling
  • Assessment of suitable locations for siting scaffolding stores
  • Signage and marking
  • Obstacles in evacuation routes

In addition, five improvement points were identified in connection with:

  • Access
  • Assessment of health risks
  • Work arrangements
  • Requirements for working environment competence
  • Panel for water cannon management

Equinor has been given a deadline of 16 July 2018 to report on how the non-conformities and improvement points will be addressed.
