In 2022, Noble Drilling took over the ownership and operation of Maersk Drilling's facilities with AoCs.

The AoCs were originally given to Maersk Drilling, but transferred to Noble Drilling in connection with the merger. This concerns the following facilities: Maersk Intrepid Maersk Interceptor Maersk Invincible Maersk Integrator Maersk Reacher Maersk Innovator.

Noble Interceptor is a jack-up drilling facility, delivered by the Keppel Shipyard in Singapore in 2014.

An Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) is a statement from the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway expressing the authorities' confidence that petroleum activities can be performed by the facility within the regulatory framework.

An AoC comprises technical features of the facility, as well as relevant aspects of the company's organisation and management systems.

Decision

It is the PSA's assessment that petroleum activities may be carried out using the Noble Interceptor facility within the regulatory framework.

The validity of the Acknowledgement of Compliance assumes that Noble Drilling Norge AS ensures that the facility and relevant parts of the company’s organisation and management systems are maintained, to fulfil the terms and conditions set out in the PSA’s decision.
