Skogul is in the central North Sea, 30 kilometres north-east of Alvheim. Aker BP is the operator.
We have now given Aker BP consent to use Deepsea Nordkapp to drill well 25/1-S-1 H, a production well with two lateral bores tied to the Alvheim floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit via the Vilje field.
Drilling is scheduled to begin on 26 July 2019 and is expected to last 85 days.
Deepsea Nordkapp is a semi-submersible drilling facility of the Moss Maritime CS 60E type, owned and operated by Odfjell Drilling.
The facility received Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) from the PSA in April 2019.
