The audit was conducted on 3 June 2026.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to verify whether Halliburton AS is complying with the requirements set out in the regulations, with a particular focus on Section 10 of the Facilities Regulations regarding installations, systems and equipment and associated guidelines which refer to NORSOK Z-015 for temporary equipment.
Result
The audit identified three non-conformities in the following areas:
- Deficiencies relating to the declaration of conformity and user instructions for a pressurised container intended for use in zone 1 (ARM26)
- Inadequate documentation regarding the suitability of a VHF antenna mounted on the exterior of a container intended for use in a potentially explosive atmosphere
- Deficiencies relating to the declaration of conformity for a pressurised container intended for use in zone 2 (SW25)
In addition, we observed two factors that we have chosen to categorise as improvement points. These concerned:
- Monitoring the competence of hired personnel
- Marking of temporary container in accordance with NORSOK Z-015
What happens now?
We have asked Halliburton to report to us by 24 September 2026 on how the non-conformities will be addressed and for their assessment of the improvement points that were observed.
