The audit was conducted in June and August 2026.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to ensure that the technical integrity of flexible jumpers is addressed throughout the value chain, in order to reduce the likelihood of incidents and hydrocarbon leaks. A further objective was to ensure that qualification, design and fabrication comply with both internal and regulatory requirements.
Result
The audit did not identify any non-conformities.
We observed two factors that we have chosen to categorise as improvement points. These concerned:
- Deficiencies in ensuring consistency between the organisation’s own requirements and those of other participants
- Deficiencies in the handling of non-conformities related to fire protection on flexible hoses
What happens now?
We asked Equinor to give us their assessment of the observed improvement points by 15 October 2026.
