The audit was conducted from 3 to 13 March 2025.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to follow up on how Vår Energi ensures that electrical installations and safety instrumented systems meet relevant regulatory requirements and the company's own requirements for these systems for the Jotun FPSO so as to achieve safe start-up and operation.
Result
We identified four non-conformities during the audit. These concerned:
- Fail-safe settings
- Alternative to central control room
- Independence of emergency shutdown function
- Start-up arrangements for fire pump drives
We also identified an improvement point concerning systematic follow-up of alarms.
What happens now?
We have asked Vår Energi to report to us by 30 April 2025 on how the non-conformities will be addressed, and to give us their assessment of the improvement point observed.
