Equinor – Visund – collection of natural data and structural integrity

The audit was conducted in the period from 2 to 4 April 2025.

Objective

The objective of the audit was to verify that Equinor’s work related to the collection, processing and dissemination of natural data at Visund is carried out in accordance with the requirements in the HSE regulations. Furthermore, Havtil wanted to follow up Equinor’s work on upgrading and managing maritime facilities and operations at Visund, including verifying how deviations identified in previous audits within this area had been followed up.

Results

The audit identified two deviations within the following areas:

• Deficiencies in the transfer of natural data to the Norwegian Meteorological Institute
• Dissemination of meteorological observations

In addition, we observed one condition that we have chosen to categorise as an improvement point. This concerned:

• Registration of seawater temperature
