The audit was conducted between 23 and 26 May 2022.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to verify through discussions and verifications that Floatel International’s management of stability, watertight and weathertight integrity, ballast systems and waves in deck complied with relevant regulations.
Result
Six non-conformities were identified, concerning:
- Watertight integrity
- Stability
- Individual alarms for watertight sliding doors
- Remote closure of waterproof sliding doors
- Ballast control level 2
- Fail safe and emergency shut-off of ballast valves
In addition, four improvement points were identified, concerning:
- Freeboard plan
- Access to weathertight closure
- Discrepancy between Appendix to Class Certificate and LSOG
- Condition monitoring
What happens next?
We have asked Floatel International to report on how the non-conformities will be addressed. We have also asked for an assessment of the improvement points observed.
