Objective

The objective of the audit within logistics was to verify that cranes and lifting operations, as well as work at height, were being provided for in compliance with applicable regulations.

The objective of the audit within the working environment was to assess whether Repsol’s systems for the management and follow-up of health risk in the working environment at Gyda complied with the regulatory requirements, both in the late life phase and in the planning and execution of removal activities. We also assessed the safeguarding of capacity and competence within the working environment and how Repsol secures genuine employee participation both in the late life phase and in the planning and execution of removal activities.

Result

11 non-conformities were identified relating to:

  • Chemical exposure
  • Register of employees exposed to chemicals
  • Calculation of daily noise exposure
  • Follow-up of working environment measures
  • Employee participation
  • The function and role of the working environment committee (K-AMU)
  • Follow-up of sub-contractors
  • Follow-up of wire ropes for cranes
  • Procedure for lifting operations
  • Maintenance of scaffolding materials
  • Maintenance

In addition, an improvement point was identified relating to training in the working environment.

What happens next?

Repsol has been given a deadline of 7 September 2020 to report on how the non-conformities and improvement point will be addressed.
