Objective
The objective of the audit was to assess how Statoil is ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, recognised standards, and its own requirements within technical safety and electrical installations for the operation and maintenance of Valemon.
Result
Four non-conformities were identified in connection with:
- Electrical installations
- Heating cables
- Fire areas
- Fire divisions
In addition, six improvement points were identified in connection with:
- Explosion overpressure
- Ignition source control
- Isolation plan
- Passive fire protection
- Documentation
- Fire water supply
Statoil has been given a deadline of 1 February 2016 to report on how the non-conformities and improvement points will be dealt with.
