§ 70c Measuring emissions of CO from gas turbines

Emissions of CO from conventional turbines that are covered by Section 70b first subsection must be measured as a minimum by annual accredited emission measurements, alternatively determined using PEMS or CEMS.
Emissions of CO from low-NOx turbines that are covered by Section 70b second subsection must be measured as a minimum by accredited emission measurements every three years, alternatively determined using PEMS or CEMS.
When using PEMS or CEMS, accredited emission measurements must be carried out at least every three years to verify the system.
Accredited emission measurements as mentioned in the first, second and third subsection mean emission measurements carried out in accordance with ISO-8178-2:2021, NS-EN 14789:2017, NS-EN 15058:2017 and ISO 12039:2019. The person who carries out the measurements must be accredited under NS-EN-ISO 17025:2017
Emissions of CO must be reported in the operators' annual report, cf. the Management Regulations Section 34 first subsection litera c, and stated in mg/Nm3 at 15 % oxygen.
The requirements to measure and determine CO emissions in this section must be met by 1st January 2026. Accredited emission measurements as mentioned in the third subsection must be carried out for the first time by the same date.
