The consent covers the use of West Mira for production drilling and completion on the Maria field in the Norwegian Sea.
The well activities are scheduled to begin in November 2019 and are expected to last around 150 days.
West Mira is a semi-submersible facility of the Moss CS60 design. It will be operated by Seadrill.
West Mira received an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) from the PSA in November 2019.
Maria
Maria is a field on Haltenbanken in the Norwegian Sea, 25 kilometres east of the Kristin field. The water depth in the area is 300 metres. Maria was discovered in 2010, and the plan for development and production (PDO) was approved in 2015. The field is developed as a subsea tie-back with two templates. There are five producers and two water injectors on the field. Production started in 2017.
