The consent comprises workover of well 34/8-D-2 HT2 on the Visund field in the North Sea.
The work is scheduled to begin in early April 2019, and is expected to take 32 days.
Transocean Equinox is a semi-submersible drilling facility of the CAT-D type. It is owned and operated by Transocean. The facility was previously named Songa Equinox, and received an Acknowledgement of Compliance from the PSA in 2015.
Visund
Visund is a field located in the northern part of the North Sea, northeast of the Gullfaks field. The water depth is 335 metres. Visund was discovered in 1986, and the plan for development and operation (PDO) was approved in 1996. The field is developed with a semi-submersible, integrated accommodation, drilling and processing facility (Visund A) and a subsea facility in the northern part of the field. Production started in 1999.
