Background
Supervision of the rules for temporary hires and equal treatment pursuant to the Working Environment Act and regulations forms part of the government’s efforts to ensure safe and responsible employment conditions. Havtil shall monitor that the companies comply with the conditions in the Act and regulations for temporary hires and equal treatment within our area of authority.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to follow up that Semco Maritime Drift ensures that temporary hires are guaranteed at least the conditions that would have been applied if the worker had been recruited directly by the user undertaking to perform the same work, in respect of the conditions mentioned in the Working Environment Act, section 14-12a first paragraph.
Result
No breach of or lack of compliance with the regulations concerning equal treatment regarding pay and working conditions in respect of hiring from temporary-work agencies was identified.
