The audit was conducted from 12 to 20 February 2026.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to verify that Seadrill's management of the working environment on board West Elara complied with regulatory requirements. The audit covered the organisational and psychosocial working environment, ergonomics, hand-arm vibrations and the chemical work environment.
The audit also included a review of Seadrill’s arrangements for genuine employee participation through the joint, local working environment committee (FS-AMU) and the safety service.
Result
We identified five non-conformities during the audit:
- Management of the chemical working environment for at-risk groups
- Storage and labelling of chemicals
- Deficiencies in use of respiratory protective equipment
- Ergonomic factors
- Joint, local working environment committee (FS-AMU)
We also identified three improvement points:
- Analysis of ergonomic factors
- Training and information on the risks associated with ergonomically stressful work
- Shortcomings in regulatory expertise and the interpretation of working time regulations
What happens now?
We have asked Seadrill to report to us by 18 June 2026 on how the non-conformities will be addressed, and to give us their assessment of the improvement points observed.
