The audit was conducted from 24 to 28 November 2025.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to follow up how Equinor ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, its own requirements and work processes related to work in and operation of electrical facilities. The activity focused in particular on electrical safety in the operational phase.
Result
Five non-conformities were identified concerning:
- Lack up follow-up of temporary equipment
- Analysis of arc flash hazards in panels
- Failure to implement compensatory measures for crane on Oseberg D
- Lack of monitoring of performance and technical condition of arc flash protection
- Lack of documentation of selective disconnection of UPS-supplied circuits
One improvement point was identified concerning the robustness of the emergency power system – automatic disconnection functionality.
What happens next?
We have asked Equinor to report by 9 March 2026 on how the non-conformities will be addressed, and for their assessment of the improvement point observed.
