The audit was conducted from 3 to 7 November 2025.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to assess how Equinor ensures compliance with the authorities’ requirements relating to major accident prevention and acute personal injuries in respect of the design and follow-up of selected technical safety functions.
Result
Seven non-conformities were identified, concerning:
- Deficient labelling of parts of equipment in the field
- Deficient mapping of non-electrical ignition sources
- Deficiencies in the follow-up of non-conformities
- Deficient response time of firewater system
- Deficient follow-up of firefighting installations
- Deficient follow-up of passive fire protection
- Deficient follow-up of assumptions made and outcomes achieved
What happens next?
We have asked Equinor to report to us by 13 February 2026 on how the non-conformities will be addressed.
