The audit was conducted between 8 and 16 December 2025.

Objective

The objective of the audit was to review COPSAS's follow-up of vessel activity within the safety zone in order to clarify whether the HSE regulations are being complied with.

Result

One non-conformity was identified concerning collision risk.

In addition, three improvement points were identified, concerning:

  • Verification of compliance with COPSAS’s requirements
  • Risk assessment and compensatory measures
  • Supplier auditing

What happens next?

We have asked ConocoPhilips to report to us by 20 January 2026 on how the non-conformity will be addressed, and to give us their assessment of the improvement points observed.
