ConocoPhilips – Eldfisk B and S – maintenance management for corrosion under insulation, equipment structures and subsea facilities

The audit was conducted from 1 to 11 December 2025.

Objective

The objective of the audit was to monitor that the management of maintenance in respect of corrosion under insulation (CUI), equipment structures, as well as risers, field pipes and subsea facilities, complies with the authorities’ and the company’s own requirements.

Result

One non-conformity was identified concerning deficient classification of systems and equipment at Eldfisk B.

In addition, three improvement points were identified, concerning:

• Marking of decommissioned equipment at Eldfisk B
• Inadequate repair of damage to firewall on Eldfisk B
• Maintenance activities are not correctly recorded on Eldfisk B

What happens next?

We have asked ConocoPhilips to report to us by 20 January 2026 on how the non-conformity will be addressed, and to give us their assessment of the improvement points observed.
