The audit was conducted on 11 and 12 June 2025.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to investigate how the company complies with the regulatory requirements for the design and structure of electrical facilities. A secondary objective was to increase awareness and knowledge in the company concerning relevant barrier functions. And detect potentially non-compliant issues at the earliest possible stage of the project, so as to offer a better chance of correcting such issues before leaving the shipyard.
Result
Three non-conformities were identified in the following areas:
- Lack of documentation of risk assessment related to early fire detection in switchboard rooms
- Inadequate documentation of verification of the safety function of the emergency power system
- Incorrect graphic symbol for CE marking of ATEX certified equipment
What happens next?
We have asked Aker BP to report to us by 13 February 2026 on how the non-conformities will be addressed.
