The audit was conducted from 18 to 22 August 2025.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to verify that the company's management of materials handling and emergency preparedness on Shelf Drilling Barsk complied with regulatory requirements.
Result
Seven non-conformities were identified, concerning:
- Role of operationally responsible entity
- Maintenance and use of lifting equipment
- Overhead crane in heavy tool store
- Cabin sharing
- Man overboard (MOB) boat system
- Competence of emergency response teams
- Systematic training of the emergency response organisation
In addition, four improvement points were identified, concerning:
- Follow-up of enterprise of competence for lifting equipment
- Marking of evacuation routes
- Lifeboats
- Necessary tools for planning of lifting operations
What happens next?
We have asked Shelf Drilling to report by 10 November 2025 on how the non-conformities will be addressed and for their assessment of the improvement points observed.
