The audit was conducted on 10 and 11 November 2025.

Objective

The objective of the audit was to ensure that Northern Lights JV, together with technical service provider Equinor, are meeting their operatorship responsibilities, following up their activities and managing in compliance with the HSE regulations, with reference to the CO2 Safety Regulations.

Result

We did not identify any non-conformities during the audit. Three improvement points were however identified. These concerned:

  • Notification and reporting of hazard and accident situations to the supervisory authorities
  • Follow-up of commissioning prior to start-up
  • Follow-up of prerequisites for use

What happens next?

We have asked Northern Lights to provide us, by 23 January 2026, with their assessment of the improvement points observed.
