The audit was conducted from 12 to 26 September 2025.
The audit was performed with assistance from the Civil Aviation Authority Norway.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to verify that the company and the facility were in compliance with the regulations relating to emergency preparedness. The audit also aimed to reduce the risk from helicopter operations on the helideck and ensure that those responsible worked systematically to reduce the risk associated with operations on and around the helideck.
Result
The audit identified ten non-conformities in the following areas:
- Design and construction
- 210° obstacle-free approach and take-off sector.
- Obstructions outside the 210° obstacle-free approach and take-off sector
- 180° obstacle-free sector
- Marking of obstacles
- Smoke diving equipment
- Systematic training of the emergency response organisation
- Maintenance of MOB boat
- Marking and navigation aids
- VHF headsets in lifeboats
We also observed one factor that we have chosen to categorise as an improvement point. This concerned:
- Marking of evacuation routes
What happens now?
We have asked Noble Drilling to report to us by 19 December 2025 on how the non-conformities will be addressed, and for their assessment of the improvement point observed.
