The audit was conducted from 21 to 28 March 2025.
Objective
The objective was to monitor whether the company’s management of the working environment on board Askeladden complied with the regulations and to verify that KCAD had followed up with the requisite measures in response to our observations in the audit of 2022. In addition, we wanted to monitor how KCAD followed up drilling and well contractors whose work interfaced with the company’s own drilling personnel. The audit also entailed looking at how the company arranged for genuine participation through the joint, local working environment committee (FS-AMU) and the safety service.
Result
Two non-conformities were identified concerning:
- Training about health risks
- Analyses of the working environment
In addition, two improvement points were identified, concerning:
- Coordination of plans for working environment follow-up
- Analyses of the working environment – ergonomic factors
What happens next?
We have asked KCA Deutag to report by 29 August 2025 on how the non-conformities will be addressed and for their assessment of the improvement points observed.
