The audit was conducted from 4 to 11 April 2025.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to ensure that Equinor complies with the regulatory requirements, and its own internal requirements, in managing risks related to the prevention and handling of well incidents in temporarily abandoned wells on the Sleipner field.
Result
The audit identified two improvement points in the following areas:
- Maintenance management
- Securing the necessary competence

We have asked Equinor to give us its assessment of the improvement points observed by 15 September 2025.
