Background
The background to the activity is a long-term focus on strategically important pipelines carrying large volumes and over longer distances for which Equinor Transportnett is responsible for operational follow-up.
The audit is a key aspect of our follow-up of the technical condition and integrity of these pipeline systems and how Equinor contributes to continuous improvement and risk reduction.
The audit is underpinned by the objective in our Letter of Allocation concerning the reduction of major accident risk in the petroleum industry, for which we are following up risks associated with hydrocarbon leaks and structural incidents.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to obtain an overview of the technical condition and integrity of the pipeline systems, and to verify that their operation complies with the requirements in the HSE regulations.
Result
No non-conformities or improvement points were observed during the audit.
