The audit was conducted from 9 to 20 January 2025.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to verify that Equinor’s management and follow-up of the operation of Heidrun within the domains of technical safety, process safety and electrical systems comply with the company’s own and the authorities’ requirements, so as to reduce the likelihood of failures.
Result
During the audit, we identified non-conformities within the following areas:
- Barriers
- Fixed firefighting facilities
- Fire doors
- Follow-up of non-conformities
- Marking of the arc flash energy level of panels
In addition, we observed two factors that we have chosen to categorise as improvement points. These concerned:
- Assessment of assumptions in the total risk analysis
- Escape routes from high-voltage installation room
What happens now?
We have asked Equinor to report to us by 10 April 2025 on how the non-conformities will be addressed, and for their assessment of the improvement points observed.
