The audit was conducted from 22 to 26 April 2024.


The objective of the audit was to verify processes and systems that contribute to ensuring the comprehensive management of emergency preparedness, and to verify that the helideck complies with regulatory requirements in order to help ensure safe helicopter operations and personnel transport.


Three non-conformities were identified, concerning:

  • signage and marking of evacuation routes
  • sprinkler system for lifeboats
  • fire extinguishing system on helideck

In addition, three improvement points were identified, concerning:

  • sound level in central control room and emergency preparedness room during incidents
  • person weight and capacity of MOB boat/rescue equipment
  • training of the emergency response organisation on board

What happens now?

We have asked Equinor to report by 15 September 2024 on how the non-conformities will be addressed and for their assessment of the improvement points observed.
