The audit was conducted from 4 to 8 December 2023.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to verify that Equinor’s management and follow-up of the operation of Njord A within the domains of technical safety, process safety and electrical facilities comply with the company’s own and the authorities’ requirements, so as to reduce the likelihood of failures.
Result
Six non-conformities were identified during the audit. These comprised:
- passive fire protection
- response time of the fire water system
- manual fire water equipment follow-up
- marking in the field
- electrical facilities
- non-conformity handling
Furthermore, we observed three conditions that could be improved. These concerned:
- Management of barriers.
- Monitoring that risk acceptance criteria for personnel are functioning as intended.
- Information on whether the risk is reduced as far as possible.
What happens now?
We have asked Equinor to report by 8 March 2024 on how the non-conformities will be addressed and for their assessment of the improvement points observed.
