The audit was conducted on 7 February 2024.
Background
The background to this activity comprised reports of cases of loss of position on DP-operated facilities in recent years. On our part, this topic has been followed up through audits, investigation of incidents, studies and seminars.
The audit of Aker BP was focused on ensuring structural safety, positioning, operating procedures and the establishment of criteria for start-up and interruption of operation.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to help reduce position-loss incidents for floating facilities and vessels, and to verify that Aker BP’s work on the acceptance of the floatel complies with the requirements of the HSE regulations. In addition, we followed up on how the company exercises its supervisory duty in relation to the vessel owner (Floatel International AB).
