Background
Incidents caused by material and manufacturing defects have major accident potential and can cause injuries. The audit comprised persons responsible for materials selection and fabrication in the core organisation and projects, and included learning from incidents and disposed facilities.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to ensure that Equinor works systematically to reduce the likelihood of, and adverse consequences of, defective materials selection and fabrication in the projects.
Result
No non-conformities or improvement points were identified during the audit.
