The audit took place on 10 December 2018. The topic of the audit was emergency preparedness and the implementation of new requirements in the Major Accident Regulations.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to obtain confirmation that Gassco, with Equinor as the technical service provider, is meeting the requirements in the petroleum regulations, the Major Accident Regulations and its own procedures in respect of reducing the probability of a major accident.
Result
The audit identified no non-conformities, but three improvement points relating to robustness in the emergency preparedness organisation, the submission of an emergency preparedness plan and information to the general public.
We have asked Gassco for their assessment of these improvement points by 25 January 2019.
