The audit related to extended operation of Åsgard A and also included contractors (M&M and SIP) on the facility.

The objective of the audit was to verify that the management of working environment risk was suitable for improving the condition of the facility, for both Equinor’s and the contractors’ employees. We also wanted to verify that the facility was designed in such a way that employees are not exposed to working environment factors exceeding the levels defined in the regulations and referenced standards. Working environment risk in this respect includes physical/chemical, mechanical and organisational/psychosocial factors.

Two non-conformities were identified relating to:

  • Noise exposure in excess of regulatory requirements
  • Manning

No improvement points were identified.

What happens next?

Equinor has been given a deadline of 31 October 2019 to report on how the non-conformities will be addressed.
