The audit was conducted on 16 and 17 January 2018.

Objective

The objective of the audit was to examine how Point Resources maintains the integrity of the main load-bearing structures at Ringhorne. The audit was conducted by checking whether the scope of inspections, the methods and the assessments of inspection results comply with the regulatory requirements, notably the Activities Regulations and the Facilities Regulations, Section 56 concerning load-bearing structures and maritime systems.

Result

No non-conformities were identified during the audit.

Improvement points were identified relating to:

  • Wave crest heights
  • Competence
  • Missing inspections
  • Ship collisions
  • Centre of gravity

What happens now?

We have asked Point Resources for their assessment of the improvement points identified. The deadline for this is set for 15 March 2018.
