From 18 to 21 June 2018, we carried out an audit of the management of emergency preparedness, maintenance and technical safety in connection with preparations for the use of Floatel Endurance.

Objective

The objective of the audit was to verify Floatel International’s management of emergency preparedness, its own follow-up, maintenance and technical safety on board Floatel Endurance.

Result

The audit identified non-conformities linked to planning, the emergency shutdown system, the ventilation system in living quarters, maintenance management, preservation, own follow-up of maintenance and evacuation from lifts. We also observed improvement points in respect of systems for training of the emergency preparedness organisation, follow-up of regulatory non-conformities, battery-powered emergency lighting, the maintenance system – hose register and the securing of loose inventory in interiors.

We have asked Floatel International to report to us on how the non-conformities will be addressed by 15 August 2018. We have also asked for their assessment of the improvement points we observed.
