Objective
A series of audits have been performed of the Johan Sverdrup project in relation to the design and construction of the facilities installed on the field. The processing plant to be installed at Johan Sverdrup is now nearly complete and we wanted to perform an audit to verify that process safety is provided for in compliance with regulatory requirements.
The objective of the task was to verify that Equinor has designed and documented the process safety systems in the Johan Sverdrup processing plant in accordance with the regulatory requirements.
Result
No non-conformities were identified.
Two improvement points were identified in connection with:
- The philosophy behind fire integrity of the flare system
- Calculation of test intervals for instrumented process safety functions
Equinor has been given a deadline of 20 August 2018 to report on how the improvement points will be addressed.
