Objective

Between 23 January and 16 February 2017, we carried out an audit of Statoil's management of emergency preparedness and of the working environment for catering staff at the Oseberg field centre. The audit took place as meetings with the land-side organisation and verifications out on the facility.

As part of the audit, a questionnaire was distributed to the catering staff at the Oseberg field centre. Data from this survey was used to supplement the interviews conducted during the audit.

The audit is founded on our main theme for 2017 – "Reversing the trend" – and in particular on the pillar of robustness. The requirement for robust solutions applies to technology, capacity, competence, organisation and management in all phases of the activity.

Result

No regulatory non-conformities were identified during the audit.

However, improvement points were detected relating to:

  • Risk assessment in change processes of musculoskeletal disorders
  • Performance of change processes
  • Safety marking

Statoil has been asked to report on how these improvement points will be assessed by 2 June 2017.
