For a number of years, the PSA has carried out audits of licensees in order to verify that they are fulfilling their roles and responsibilities. This was the basis for our audit of Statoil on 29 November 2017. Such audits are made of individual companies and, with its portfolio, Statoil is heavily involved in production licences on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
The audit focused on the company's own activities within key health, safety and environment issues in connection with participation on the Martin Linge and Goliat fields.
Objective
The object of the audit was to verify that Statoil has a management system for, and performs practical follow-up of, its role as a production license holder in compliance with Norwegian regulations, and that the company has robust competence and capacity.
Result
No non-conformities or improvement points were identified during the audit.
