The audit was conducted on 22 and 23 March 2017.

Objective

The objective of the audit was to verify how management, condition monitoring, follow-up and any rectification of corrosion during insulation (CUI) were planned and implemented to ensure that Gassco (the operator of Kollsnes and Sture) and Statoil (the technical service provider for Gassco) are complying with the regulatory requirements.

Result

No non-conformities were identified during the audit.

Four improvement points were identified in connection with:

  • Use of new knowledge
  • Use of new inspection techniques
  • Checking of competence and qualifications of hired personnel
  • Documentary basis of inspection programme and preventive maintenance in respect of CUI

What happens next?

We have asked Statoil for their assessment of the improvement points we have identified. The deadline for this is set at 19 May 2017.
