The audit was conducted from 2 to 4 October 2017 in collaboration with the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET Norway).

Background

The quality of environmental data collection from Sleipner A is extremely important for maritime aviation and air safety services and weather-dependent operations in the industry.

Objective

The objective of the audit was to review relevant routines for performing, maintaining and reporting environmental data collection at Sleipner A, and to assess the technical standard of the system and equipment.

Result

No regulatory non-conformities were identified, but one aspect was observed that was classified as an improvement point. This concerned training in the performance of maintenance.
