Baker Hughes - Archer - Halliburton - GE Oil & Gas - Schlumberger Norge - Planning and execution of drilling and well operations

The activity was conducted as a series of meetings with Baker Hughes Norge AS, Archer AS, Halliburton AS, GE Oil & Gas and Schlumberger Norge AS.

Objective

The objective of this audit was to acquire knowledge concerning the participation of drilling contractors and well service companies in the planning and execution of drilling and well operations (drilling, completion, intervention, plugging and abandonment).

Result

Through this series of meetings, we gained awareness of various challenges in the industry relating to:

• Involvement/participation
• Experience transfer/learning
• The risk identification process
• Detailed operating procedures (DOP/RAP)
• Organisation, competence and capacity

We will follow this up through planned and ongoing audits concerning the planning and execution of drilling and well operations.
